Terms of Service

You accept these Terms by using the Services or by clicking to accept them when prompted. You may not use the Services if you do not agree to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting an update on this page and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.

You must be at least 16 years old to use LieChee. If you are between 16 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You may not use the Services if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law or if your account has previously been suspended or terminated.

To access most features of the Services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us immediately at support@liechee.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

LieChee is offered as a paid subscription. The current price is displayed on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the next renewal date.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide refunds for partial periods except where required by applicable consumer-protection law.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). By providing payment information, you authorize us and our payment provider to charge your selected payment method for the applicable fees.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Services.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Services or their output without our written permission.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Services beyond what is permitted by our public API or interface.
• Submit content that infringes intellectual-property rights, contains malicious code, or violates the privacy of others.
• Interfere with the integrity, security, or operation of the Services.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

LieChee and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all software, designs, trademarks, and content we provide. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use during your active subscription, subject to these Terms.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you retain ownership of the outputs the Services generate from your inputs (your “Output”), to the extent permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for how you use the Output, including ensuring that its use complies with your school’s academic-integrity rules and any other applicable policies.

Because of the nature of generative AI, the same or similar Output may be produced for other users from different prompts. We do not warrant that Output is unique to you or factually accurate.

You retain ownership of everything you submit to the Services (audio, text, files), collectively your “Content”. By submitting Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display the Content solely to provide the Services to you.

This license ends when you delete your Content from the Services (subject to standard backup deletion timelines). We do not use your private Content to train AI models or for any purpose other than providing the Services.

You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Services to you becomes impractical or commercially unreasonable.

Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

THE SERVICES AND ANY OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND TITLE.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any Output will be accurate or appropriate for your purposes. You use the Services and any Output at your own risk.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIECHEE AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LieChee, its affiliates, and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Services, your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration administered by JAMS in accordance with its Streamlined Arbitration Rules.

You and LieChee waive the right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may bring an individual action in small-claims court.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted at this URL. If a revision, in our sole discretion, is material, we will provide reasonable notice prior to the new terms taking effect (e.g., by email or in-product notice).
